Analysis

Thodari Movie Review

The first half of Thodari starts on an interesting note revealing about the characterization of Dhanush and his story. The entertainment has been the major base throughout the first half. The love making episodes have been shot well however some of the episodes lack the needed interest. The songs have been shot decent and they have been placed well. On the whole  the first half of Thodari has been decent with enough flaws.

The second half of Thodari fails to entertain the audience and the film dips down completely in all the available ways. The entertainments levels come down to zero and the movie has enough flaws all over. Many logicless episodes make up which fail to impress the audience. The pre-climax episodes make the film dip down even more and the climax turns completely predictable. On the whole the second half of Thodari is the spoiler of the film.

Performance

Dhanush has been extremely superb in the role of Sivaji. His performance has been stupendous throughout and is the highlight of the film. Keerthy Suresh too has been decent in her role and she has been apt as Saroja. Though she acted in a deglamorized role she looks beautiful. Thambi Ramaiah is nice and humorous. He has given a humorous relief to the movie. Karunakaran is nice who always loves to tell poems to his fellow workers. All the other actors delivered out their best.

The story of the film has been ok but has enough flaws and it is completely outdated. The screenplay and the dialogues have not been written well. The music and the cinematography are the major highlights of the film. The technical aspects of the movie have been lavish and the production values have been completely impressive. The director came out with a routine and predictable romantic drama which fails to impress the audience big time.

Final Word

Dhanush and Keerthy Suresh impresses the audience big time with their performances but the film lacks interesting narration and gripping love story which makes the film fall flat.
