Shailajanath left for China without permission: Centre

The minister for the primary education, Shailajanath’s foreign tour has stirred a new controversy as the ministry of the external affairs had seek the explanation of the State Government over the same. The ministry, which said that any minister requires permission from the Centre in order to leave for foreign country, asked as to why Shailajanath left for China without necessary permission.

It may be recalled that Shailajanath was the active leader of Student Federation of India (SFI) during his college days. Now that the SFI world wide meetings took place in China, he got an invitation to attend the meet. The minister, although applied for the permission, has left for China without the said permission.

Reacting on this, the Andhra Pradesh government has said that the minister had applied for the permission. On the other hand, the secretariat officials have said that they had no clue about minister’s trip to China.

Notably, Shailajanath left for China on April 19. The opposition parties, which now came to know about this issue, are most likely to take on the State Government on this issue. (Phani)
