Infecting healthy young adults with coronavirus can speed up the vaccine studies says WHO. The report related to the challenge studies laid out eight conditions. The studies are considered including the scientific justification, an assessment of potential benefits.

The challenge studies has the potential to control COVID-19 around the world but on another side, there is a risk for the volunteers according to the latest paper by Marc Lipsitch, a Harvard School of Public Health epidemiolog.

The volunteers selected for the study would typically be healthy and who are young at age. So that they would be low at risk as per the other experts of the studies. The studies are always tried on different groups which consists of several people.

Officials at Moderna Inc. are not confident with the idea of this study to develop the vaccine for COVID-19. Tal Zaks, Moderna’s chief medical officer said,``I'm not sure I am a huge fan of it really for both practical and ethical reasons" at the time of presentation given by the health news organization.

Zaks said that he still can't be sure about the challenge study as it not only causes mild infection but it would be hard to identify to pick the right dose.

For the human challenge trial of COVI-19 vaccine, nearly 14000 volunteers across 102 countries have signed up on a website to participate.
