The World Health Organisation wants the vaccines from all the countries to be recognized and an Emergency Use Listing (EUL) should be given through an advisory process. WHO Health Emergencies Programme Executive Director Dr Mike Ryan said that the answer about the EUL of Covaxin is expected by October 26th. WHO Chief Scientist Soumya Swaminathan hinted that the technical advisory group of the WHO will meet to discuss about the EUL of Covaxin on October 26th. Covaxin is an Indian vaccination that is manufactured by Bharat Biotech. Lakhs of people are eagerly waiting for the recommendation of Covaxin to be included in the Emergency Use Listing. The entire data has been submitted by Bharat Biotech weeks ago and the experts of WHO reviewed the data. Ryan said that all the necessary information is collected.
