The Kansas State Board of Education is gearing up to initiate steps to evaluate the kindergartner’s academic readiness. The voting process has been done during the last week,  by the members of the department of education. The proposed system will work to identify the children who require extra care and support during their early education period.

According to The Topeka Capital-Journal, a five point framework project has also approved by  the education department. The plan will enhance the liability of school to help the children.

A Wichita Republican and chairman of the state board, Jim McNiece said that, educational outcomes has maintained by the state, but they have not reviewed the children’s side that, whether, they are ready for school. He called it “a whole new approach to education.” He added that,  “Parents who have financial resources, those kids come better prepared for success in school.”

The new policy initiated by the State education board verify whether children are ready to get admission, track high school graduation rates, number of students completed post-secondary education. It will also check technical training certificates and two to four year degrees. Randy Watson, Education commissioner, informed that, they will change their authorization system to adopt new goals.
