In a recent disgraceful incident a Hindu temple in Pakistan was brutally vandalized by three unidentified suspects. The temple is located in the southern Sindh province. Police said that they have registered a case of blasphemy and terrorism. According to the police the idols of deities were damaged and some of the broken parts were dishonorably thrown in a nearby sewerage line. The incident occurred on Friday in Thatta district’s Gharo town. The Dawan reported that police have also registered an FIR against three persons for desecrating the deities. “Investigation is going on but so far no arrests have been made,” police officer Fida Hussain Mastoi said. Mr. Mastoi said that the case would be investigated from all aspects, though, according to preliminary probe, the footprints found near the temple seem to belong to a young boy around the age of 12. Lal Meheshwri, who is a local Hindu councilor, said that he had been working late at the temple for a monthly religious service. “Someone seems to have entered the temple between 1:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m. When worshippers came in the morning for prayers, the idols were missing. This is the first time that that such a thing has happened in the temple’s history,” he was quoted by the report. Dr. Khatto Mal, who is the adviser to the Sindh Chief Minister for Minority Affairs, said that the vandals would be arrested soon. Sunrisers Hyderabad wins their first away match April 29, 2017 04:49

A dominating batting performance allowed Hyderabad beat Kings XI Punjab by 26 runs for their fifth win this season and first away win in Mohali. Punjab won the toss and asked Hyderabad to bat first, fifties from Shikhar Dhawan, skipper David Warner and Kane Williamson powered the visitors to a huge 207/3. SRH bowlers wiped off the hosts top order and then survived a late blitz from Shaun Marsh to stop them at 181 for nine. Hyderabad openers finished the ‘Powerplay’ overs with an excellent run-rate of 10 an over. Dhawan and Warner consecutively hit Punjab pacers for boundaries. With pacers proving ineffective the home team brought spinners in the front line, a decision KXIP regretted. Warner hit a four and two sixes off three successive balls delivered by Axar Patel. Powerplay overs without any loss of wicket laid the foundation of a huge total. After Warner’s dismissal Williamson played some exquisitely timed shots and scored a half-century to push the total to 207. Chasing a 200+ target is always going to be a huge task. But for a team that likes to chase suffered an early 42/3 in five overs, the home side suffered a major setback. But they still had some big names, who have the ability to turn the game. Shaun Marsh and Eoin Morgan can accelerate at will. The duo added 73 runs together that scared the opponents. Marsh managed to score against every bowler he faced. In the 16th over the home team lost their hope when Deepak Hooda managed to send Marsh back to the pavilion. With no other players in their disposal KXIP ended scoring 181/9. AMandeep

NASA’s Cassini dives through Saturn’s Rings April 28, 2017 13:19

The unmanned NASA’s spacecraft ‘Cassini’ has survived its plunge between the rings of sixth planet Saturn and after briefly going offline for the flyby, it is communicating again with Earth, the United States space agency said on Thursday. The spacecraft skimmed closer than any previous spacecraft to the Saturn and lived to tell the tale, sending back a signal that arrived early on Thursday at 0656 GMT, after 20 hours it crossed the rings. "No spacecraft has ever been this close to Saturn before. We could only rely on predictions, based on our experience with Saturn's outer rings, of what we thought this gap between the rings and Saturn would be like," said Cassini project manager Earl Maize of NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California. "I am delighted to report that Cassini shot through the gap just as we planned and has come out the other side in excellent shape." The gap between the rings and the Saturn’s atmosphere is about 2,400 kilometers wide. The rings are made of fast moving particles of ice and space debris that could strike and disable the space craft. The spacecraft travelled through at a speed of about 77,000 miles per hour relative to the planet. Cassini will make 22 dives between the Saturn and its rings before making a death dive into the gas giant in September. Its next pass is scheduled for May 2. The mission is jointly conducted by NASA, The Italian Space Agency and the European Space Agency. Cassini was launched in 1997 and has been revolving Saturn since 2004. The spacecraft is in on low fuel now and scientist have decided to end its mission rather than risk damaging Cassini is now running low on fuel and scientists have decided to end its mission rather than risk damaging one of Saturn's moons, whose subsurface oceans may be explored for signs of life in the future. Finch guides comfortable win for Gujarat Lions April 28, 2017 06:08

Aaron Finch’s rapid 72 off 34 balls helped Gujarat Lions beat Royal Challengers Bangalore by seven wickets. While the match credits are being given to Finch, the victory was set up by the Gujarat bowlers led by Andrew Tye, who took 3 wickets, conceding 12 runs in his four overs. With this victory Gujarat moved up for the sixth spot, while RCB were pushed down to the seventh with only five points from nine games. Royal Challengers Bangalore are really struggling with the nature of the pitch at home this year. Their batting order generally likes the ball to come on to aid stroke play, which has not been the case. The woes continued as they found themselves reeling at 22 for three by the fifth over. Gujarat won the match and elected to field first. Chris Gayle along with Indian team skipper Virat Kholi came for the opening. The duo was again out of its charm, especially Chris Gayle, who has not performed in this season so well. The Jamaican scored 8 runs off 11 balls, where as Kholi scored 10 off 13 balls. The home team then slipped further after a miscommunication led to AB de Villier’s downfall.  With 5 down for 60, Pawan Negi walked in and hit two consecutive boundaries before targeting Soni with two maximums. But he was holed out in the same over at deep midwicket. Jadhav scored 31 off 18 balls. The partnership between Jadhav and Negi allowed RCB to reach 132/10. Gujarat Lions' Ishan Kishan hit four boundaries in the first two overs, but was trapped in front by Samuel Badree for 16 off 10 balls. While Badree got rid of McCullum for three. Finch made his intentions clear by sending the ball over the roof of Chinnaswamy. Off the next delivery he again hit for another maximum. His 22 ball fifty is the fastest IPL fifty by a Gujarat player. After Finch’s dismissal, Raina ensured Gujarat Lions got their two points as they chased down the target in just 13.5 overs and with seven wickets left. AMandeep
