A Charles County law secretary delivered a baby at Olmsted & Olmsted Law Firm on Tuesday.
Holly Sanderson said, "I never thought this would happen.” She was working at her desk when she heard a woman’s scream outside. Sanderson was the only person in the building at the time and she ran out immediately.
Sanderson said,"That's when she told me she was pregnant and she was in labor” .
Sanderson has two kids of her own but no medical training. Sanderson brought the mom inside, who soon began going into labor. The baby was purple and the umbilical cord was wrapped around the baby's neck.
Sanderson unwrapped the cord, and saved the baby's life.
While many have been calling Sanderson an angel and a hero, she said that she was the lucky one to have welcomed baby Isabella into the world. She expressed joy, "I really feel blessed,"
Mom and baby were both doing well, resting at the hospital on Wednesday night.
