The Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold is anticipated to officially launch in August, alongside the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, and Pixel 10 Pro XL models. With the release approaching, recent information has surfaced indicating that the forthcoming foldable device will feature a more streamlined hinge. This design change is expected to accommodate a slightly expanded cover display. Additionally, enhancements in durability are anticipated for the Pixel 10 Pro Fold. It may emerge as one of the pioneering foldable smartphones to boast an IP68-rated construction. According to Android Headlines, this year's model will showcase a new hinge and thinner bezels. While details about specific measurements remain unclear, the thinner hinge suggests the phone could be more svelte than its predecessor. Reports also indicate that the outer display is set to grow larger, potentially measuring 6.4 inches, compared to the 6.3-inch cover display of the Pixel 9 Pro Fold.

Moreover, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold is projected to incorporate IP68 ratings for dust and water resilience, marking a notable advancement over the Pixel 9 Pro Fold, which only held an IPX8 rating.

Current models from Samsung, such as the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6, have an IP48 rating. In addition, Samsung's forthcoming Galaxy Z Fold 7, expected to be revealed next month, is rumored to feature an IP68 rating as well. Other competitors include Oppo's Find X5 with an IPX9 rating and the Honor Magic V3 with an IPX8-rated design. Previous leaks have hinted that the design of the Pixel 10 Pro Fold will be similar to that of the Pixel 9 Pro Fold. The new model is projected to be powered by a Tensor G5 processor along with Android 16. There are indications that it might be slightly bulkier than the Pixel 9 Pro Fold, possibly measuring 155.2 x 150.4 x 5.3 mm when unfolded. The Pixel 10 Pro Fold is also expected to come equipped with a maximum of 16GB of RAM and storage options reaching up to 512GB, likely utilizing the MediaTek T900 modem. The rear camera system is anticipated to retain the 48-megapixel sensor from the previous model.
