Analysis

Check Movie Review, Rating, Story, Cast and Crew

The first half of the film happens at a slow pace and sets the premises for the second half. The director took too many cinematic liberties which do not connect the dots well. Most of the film happens in the jail and has limited scope to get entertained. The film misses the needed thrills and the emotional connect throughout. The flashback episodes too fail to make an impact. The interval episodes are shot well and the first half of Check makes a decent one time watch. The film has good expectations on the second half.

The second half of the film too happens completely in a jail. Some of the episodes are repeated and rushed. Aditya works hard on a mission but the climax which is quite crucial for the film is a huge disappointment because of the idea. The audience would get disconnected because of the climax portions of the film. The only song in the movie makes no impact. The action episodes are ok and the artwork is good. On the whole, Check is one more outdated attempt from Chandrasekhar Yeleti though he has an interesting plot on the board.

Performance

Nithiin scores well in the role. His role has not bigger scope to perform as he is an accused staying in a jail. He did his part well. Priya Prakash Varrier has a small role with a glamorous touch and she performed well. Rakul Preet Singh is a surprise of the film as she has a challenging role as a lawyer. She fits well in the role and looks perfect as a lawyer. Sai Chand gets an impressive role and he shines with perfection in the attempt.  Murali Sharma and Sampath Raj performed well as always. The rest of the actors are good in their roles.

Check comes with an interesting plot and premises. Chandrasekhar Yeleti fails with his writing as he is focused in churning out Check into a commercial attempt. Most of the logics are ignored because of the overdose of the cinematic liberties. The background score is the major strength and highlight of the film. The cinematography work looks good and the artwork is good. The jail setup looks good and is presented like a real jail. The production values are grand and lavish. Chandrasekhar Yeleti comes up with one more new attempt that fails to impress the audience.

Final Word

Check has a unique plot but the narration and the second half of the film make it a tedious watch.
