CEO Phaneesh Murthy gets sacked by iGate for sexual misdeed!

Creating intense disgust, an outsourcing company iGate Corp on Tuesday were known to have sacked its Chief Executive Phaneesh Murthy for not disclosing a relationship with a subordinate at the same time been declared to have committed sexual harassment.

That was just enough, while Murthy, who have been replaced with immediate effect by interim CEO Gerhard Watzinger, was forced to quit India’s second biggest software exporter Infosys Ltd in 2002 following a sexual harassment lawsuit, which was settled out of court.

Igate furthered in a statement saying that its board happens to be engaged outside legal counsel to investigate as well found Murthy’s failure to disclose his relationship with a subordinate. While Sunil Wadhwani, co-founder and co-chairman of iGate also added that the board premeditated extensively on this matter. They recognise the prominent contributions Murthy has provided over the past 10 years in helping to establish iGATE as a leader in the IT industry. Nevertheless, as a result of this violation of iGATE policy they have asked Murthy to step down.

iGATE said in a statement that the Board’s decision was made as a result of an investigation by outside legal counsel, engaged by the Board, of the facts and circumstances surrounding a relationship Murthy had with a subordinate employee added to a claim of sexual harassment.

It was also known that the uninterrupted investigation has reached the finding that Murthy’s failure to report this relationship violated iGATE’s policy, as well as Murthy’s employment contract. Later in time than leaving Infosys, Murthy founded a company that was bought by iGate while in 2011. Murthy then teamed up with buyout firm Apax Partners intending to execute iGate’s $ 1.2 billion purchase of much-bigger Indian rival Patni Computer Systems.

It's a disgrace to hear such high profile authority to be engaged in such embarrassing act.

Then what about the illiterate one's?
