A thief who was alarmed in an armed robbery, got shot my Maryland police, and got admitted in to hospital in sensitive medical condition.
The Police Department of Prince George’s County, chief Hank Stawinski, said that the shooting on Monday happened, when police were trying to execute an arrest warrant on 26 year old Corey Markell Janifer.
Stawinski said Janifer was most wanted in the April robbery and shooting.
The suspect Janifer was accused of locking himself in a small room, at his own place on Monday. Stawinski tells media reporters that cops were getting ready to break down the door of room where he was hiding, when one of the authorities “Perceived a threat and responded to that threat”.
The suspect was once shot in the stomach by prince George County Police officer.
The Chief Police officer Stawinski says, he wasn’t quickly able to brief the nature of the perceived threat.
